I love their steak fajita quesadillas. Their guacamole is always fresh and the chips are always warm and salty. Taco Tuesday is a good night but a very busy night so go early!

“We have done enough for you by remaking your meal” was the response I got after they left the MEAT out of my meal! This was from the kitchen manager after I asked if they could throw in a free desert for me having to come all the way back from my work to get correct order on a to go order! Wow wow wow! Like they were doing me a favor remaking my meal that was half prepared! Kitchen manager needs to be retrained to be professional and learn how to treat customers. I asked for restaurant manager and got young girl that said she couldn’t do anything and a dessert would have been melted anyway. The owner of this business better wake up! Your business is being ruined by unprofessional and rude staff!

Best Mexican in Athens!!!! The food is phenomenal and I always get the best service from my favorite server, Josefina. Her kindness and attentiveness always creates a great experience. My favorite thing on the menu is the torta, even though I find myself having to share it. The portion sizes are so generous and everything is made fresh! Choose this place over any other Mexican options in Athens and you will not be disappointed!

Horrible. Service fair. Food was disgusting. Both of our meals came out cold after a long wait. Texture was gross and food was bland. Will never goo back. Don't waste your time or money.

2 dollar margarita specials on Saturday afternoons make this place a favorite. Recommend the beef brisket chimichangas. Great wait staff.

I like to go when they first open so it's not that busy. I rarely have to wait very long for the server to take my drink and menu order. Chips are served with mild and hot sauce while waiting on the order. The meal is very good.When paying with cash, they don't give exact change, unless specifically requested. They'll round to the closest dollar.

Dos Palmas does a good job delivering well prepared Mexican Cuisine in a fast, friendly manner. Tons of TV's make it great place to fill up while watching a ballgame.

The waitress was very good at her job. Her service was top rate! Not sure what was going on in kitchen - don’t think they are very experience with cooking. We waited at least 2 hours for the food - we will not be going back there ever. When the food finally came - put it in to go boxes and left...

The food is really really great. The service is good almost every time we go. I'm not sure about now but before the recent events they handled bigger groups with ease.

We have always loved going to this restaurant because it has a perfect combination of a cozy atmosphere, friendly and accommodating staff and absolutely DELICIOUS food. We have ALWAYS had the best experiences when visiting thus restaurant!

Come here once or twice a month. Great food at reasonable prices. Texas fajita nachos are amazing but everything we have tried has always been good.

THE SERVICE IS GOOD, but the food I ordered was not so good. I ordered a carne asada and it was burned. It is a Mexican restaurant and the atmosphere is not Mexican, football on television, the music, waiters dressed in football shirts. In my opinion is not a Mexican restaurant, although I insist ... the service is excellent!

This place was a lot better than most of your Mexican resteraunts. If you have a chance to try this place you should. Kids menu is about what you would see at most joints.

The last 2 times I have visited this establishment I have walked out before being seated. If I have to wait 5-10 minutes at the door to be acknowledged by a hostess to be seated or placed on a list, I am not staying. The last couple of times before that the service has been bad from the kitchen with long wait times. I have attempted to give this place time and see if the service improves because the food is actually good. Service is not though. Probably will not be back.

The staff was prompt and courteous and the food was amazing! I asked the waitress what she would suggest and she said that any of the Chimichangas are good so that's what I tried and it did not disappoint! I will be back for more!

Waitresses are friendly, seating is quick for lunch or early supper. Portions are large and they are not short on refills. In-house bar was always manned, clean, and busy. Not a huge fan of their chorizo which was greasy and tasted very sweet (maybe too much cinnamon). Chips also sweet-tasting. Will be back sparingly (mostly to have good service and test their margarita ability).

Tonight was our first visit and we were not disappointed! I got chicken tacos and my husband got beef nachos and they were both great and food came out quickly. Good food and good service we will be coming back!

Dos Palmas is my favorite maragita spot. I've been coming here for years. They have the best Maragitas in TOWN hands DOWN!! All it takes for me is 1 1/2 Rita's to get me TOASTY! Happy Hour is everyday from 4-7pm $2 Rita's!!! Garrenteed to get u LIT. The food is great too. They have daily food specials that u just can't pass up. Great customer service too. Love this place.

The wait staff had poor customer service and overcharged for the food. Instead of resolving a simple issue, they acted rudely and escalated the situation. I'm telling everyone I know never to eat at this despicable place

Just left! Went with a friend who uses a wheel chair the male host didn’t offer to assist with the door. I explained that my friend would need a burrito that he could hold due to his hands shaking. He brought out a burrito that was covered in sauce and cheese. Said they don’t make them the way we requested. He also did not bother to move the chair so we could get the wheelchair to the table. Just rude!

This restaurant is complicit in FALSE ADVERTISING. Horrible service, hair in food, DO NOT GO HERE. Management is the absolute worst. Manager (Martin) did not honor $1.50 Miller Lite, despite a sign advertising on the wall next to booth. Instead of honoring it, he claimed it was a new sign that was misprinted. When I told him that I've seen that sign and received the promotion countless times before, he told me that wasn't true because it was a new sign. So he rudely reached over my table to grab the sign and rip it off the wall. When he did so, he hit the back of my head and the person sitting behind me. He hardly gave an apology. Anyway, under the sign was MILDEW and a DEAD MOTH so, clearly, it is not a new sign! So, if you want hairless food and a manager that treats you like a human being (the bare minimum food service experience) DO NOT COME HERE!!!

First time dining out since Covid and I am glad I went here. My waitress was so kind happy and friendly. And my meal was excellent! The steak in the quesadilla was delicious!!! Plentiful seasoned and juicy! I'll be going back!

We definitely will not be back we 1st ordered a cheese dip with no jalapeño and the one they brought had them in it! Ordered a child’s chicken finger and it was burnt and crispy and then received our fajitas and it was burnt and cold after waiting for our tortilla shells got tired of waiting on the waitress to tell her because she was sitting down and yes actually sitting in a booth talking to other employees! When leaving asked the girl in the front for a manager and was told that they did not have one working!!! They were lucky my phone died right before entering or I would have pictures to back all this up !!!

The house salad, contrary to the menu, does not have Romain lettuce. It is Walmart iceberg and carrots. If I could rate a zero I would. Lesson learned.

I wish would have took a picture so so bad so I can prove my case. But instead, you can have my word. So Me and My Boyfriend usually ate here quite often before this happened. We always complimented the food and how it was our favorite Mexican restaurant in Athens. SHAME ON US. I always get the burrito that has shrimp and vegetables in it. So I go on and order that like I always do because it was satisfying. I basically eat most of the burrito TO FIND A COCKROACH IN MY FOOD. It was literally cooked in my burrito. It looked sautéed with my vegetables. It was a brown roach to be exact. It was a little one so that means they have plenty of others in that restaurant. I AM COMPLETELY DISGUSTED to where I don’t want to eat out for a while. I never thought that would happen to me. DO NOT EAT HERE! Or the one on Eastside!

Yesterday, i went on my break. The salsa and chips were very good. I had chose the fiesta Burger, it was good but I wasn’t a fan of the hamburger bun, bread was a little too thick. Other than that it was good and they have amazing fries, seasoned just right. I will be coming back. 😊

Service was very attentive, food was quite tasty. Was surprised at the cost of a Corona, but I didn't ask before ordering so..... Will definitely be returning.

I have been coming here weekly for the past two months, and I have never been disappointed! The food is outstanding, the atmosphere is great, the staff is very friendly, and you get a lot of food for what you pay!

Tonight I forgot my iPhone XS Max on the table. I left and got home and didn’t find the phone... Got desesperated and went back to the restaurant and there was the waitress with the phone to handle me. I was so glad for her honesty!I REALLY APPRECIATE what she did! Don’t remember her name but she was blond, beautiful and very kind! Thank you so much for your help and my family will be back to Dos Palmas!

I have been coming here for years. Food is pretty good and service is always great. They have great prices on drinks! This is my go to Mexican in Athens.

We always love this place! Standard fare and great prices! We usually have wonderful service, and they do food and drink specials daily!

Went with family on a Sunday to eat, waited almost 2 hours for our food. Server was great at first but then avoided us. Then told us oh we are out of an item you ordered after we waited an hour. Manager was no help.

My wife really enjoys the fresh spinach and cheese Chimichanga.

Came here today for lunch, waitress seemed nice but would come to the table and ask if we needed anything and before we could talk she would walk away. We usually sit and have multiple drinks but I couldn’t get her attention long enough to get another drink. She didn’t write anything down and my bf ordered a frozen strawberry margarita and she brought it on the rocks, then brought out the wrong food and we never got the chance to say anything because she wasn’t around. Just sat there for 30 minutes waiting before another waitress asked us if we needed a box and the check.

It's not bad, but compare to other Mexicans places around the area, I wouldn't go again.
